Who doesn’t like waking up to the aroma of mouthwatering sambar wafting through the house? Sambar with idli or dosa and filter coffee is the breakfast of choice in South Indian households. But according to legend, sambar originated in the kitchens of Shahuji, a Maratha ruler in Thanjavur, and is named after Sambhaji for whom it was prepared. Graminway’s Spicy Sambar Masala preserves the traditional taste of sambar with the feel-good factor of a homegrown recipe. We create familiar flavors by roasting whole spices and lentils. All the ingredients are locally sourced and freshly pounded and ground at our facilities. Sambar masala is time consuming to prepare from scratch, and we take the hassle out for you.
